About the Role
Awnings of Ireland is seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Awning Installer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and professional installation of awnings, pergolas, screens, and related outdoor shading products at residential and commercial properties.
This is a hands-on role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong practical skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
● Install awnings, pergolas, retractable roof systems, screens, and associated products to company standards.
● Read and interpret measurements, installation drawings, and technical specifications.
● Carry out site assessments and prepare installation areas.
● Use power tools and installation equipment safely and effectively.
● Ensure all installations are completed accurately and efficiently.
● Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
● Communicate professionally with customers and answer installation-related queries.
● Complete installation documentation and reports as required.
● Work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers, and management.
● Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
● Assist with servicing, maintenance, and repair work when required.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
● Previous experience in installation, construction, carpentry, glazing, roofing, fabrication, or a similar hands-on trade.
● Strong practical and mechanical aptitude.
● Ability to accurately measure and work from technical drawings.
● Experience using hand and power tools safely.
● Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
● Good communication and customer service skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Full clean driving licence.
● Legal entitlement to work in Ireland.
Desirable
● Experience installing awnings, pergolas, blinds, shutters, or outdoor structures.
● Safe Pass certification.
● Manual Handling certification.
● Electrical or construction-related qualifications.
● Experience operating access equipment or working at heights.
