Purpose of the Role

The Electrician plays a vital role within our field operations team and is at the centre of delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality solar PV installations for our residential customers. This position is responsible for ensuring every installation is completed to the highest technical and safety standards, in full compliance with SEAI and Safe Electric regulations.

Beyond technical execution, this role carries significant leadership responsibility. The successful candidate will oversee installation crews on-site, maintain exceptional quality standards, troubleshoot technical issues, and support the development of apprentices by mentoring them throughout the installation process. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in workmanship, enjoys leading teams, and wants to contribute meaningfully to Ireland’s growing renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate on-site installation teams, including roofers and junior crew members, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
  • Take ownership of the full electrical installation process for residential solar PV systems, ensuring projects are completed to the highest quality standards while aiming to achieve efficient one-day installations wherever possible.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply fully with SEAI, Safe Electric, and all relevant Irish electrical regulations, maintaining strict adherence to compliance and certification requirements.
  • Carry out electrical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis to ensure systems are operating safely and performing optimally before handover to the customer.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on all installations, ensuring every project meets both company expectations and industry best practice standards for workmanship, reliability, and long-term performance.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians, supporting their technical development while helping build a highly skilled and knowledgeable internal workforce.
  • Work closely with the construction, engineering, and operations teams to ensure installations are properly planned, resources are available, and project deadlines are consistently met.
  • Maintain a strong culture of health and safety across every site, proactively identifying risks, enforcing safety procedures, and ensuring all team members operate within company and regulatory safety guidelines.
  • Complete all required certification, compliance documentation, testing reports, and installation paperwork accurately and efficiently, ensuring full compliance with Safe Electric and SEAI regulatory standards.
  • Liaise regularly with office administrators, project coordinators, and operations managers to ensure clear communication throughout the customer journey and to guarantee a smooth, professional installation experience from initial scheduling through final completion.
  • Act as a company ambassador on-site by maintaining a professional attitude, delivering excellent customer service, answering customer queries when required, and ensuring every homeowner has confidence in the quality and professionalism of the Mitros installation process.
  • Continuously contribute to operational improvement by identifying opportunities to improve installation efficiency, streamline workflows, and help the company scale effectively as demand continues to grow.

Key Requirements:

  • Solas/Fas Electrical Trade Qualification (Craft Card and Cert) or equivalent
  • QC Number is preferable however training can be provided once willing to learn and obtain QC
  • Previous experience in solar, products within solar or renewable energy is highly advantageous

**Salary is depending on the above experience. Daily subsistence and travel rates are not included in the ranges shown.**

Pay: €63,945.00-€75,690.00 per year
